Our next iServe Sunday will be held on May 31!
Here is the list of projects:
- Bethel Campus Projects: Come on Sunday and rake, weed, fill emergency water barrels, clean the Bethel Bus.
- Bread for the World offering of letters:
Stop by the Fireside Room and write a letter to your senator regarding the latest legislation on ending hunger.
A sample letter, congressional addresses, envelopes and stamps are provided.
- Calabazas Creek Clean-up:
Meet after second service in the Entry (Narthex) to caravan to Calabazas Creek.
Bags and tools for picking up trash provided.
- Diaper Drive for Baby Basics of East Palo Alto:
Diapers, size 4 and up, are needed for low-income families in East Palo Alto and East Menlo Park.
Drop them off in the Entry (Narthex).
- Gleaning at the Farmers’ Market:
Pick up donated produce at the Farmer’s Market (located in The Oaks shopping center) at 1pm and deliver to West Valley Community Services.
- NEW Care Kits for Central Valley farmers at the Cupertino Farmers’ Market:
Pick up a $25.00 Safeway card to be donated to farmers working at the farmers market.
Drop off in the Fireside Room.
- Lutheran World Relief Personal Care Kits for Nepal:
Put kits together in the Fireside Room.
Items needed for each kit include:
- One light-weight bath-size towel (dark color)
- 2–3 bath-sized bars of soap
- 1 sturdy comb
- 1 adult-sized toothbrush
- 1 metal nail clippers
The soap and toothbrush should be left in its original packaging.
