Kid Connection is Bethel’s Sunday morning education program for children ages 3 years through 6^th grade. Your child will grow in their faith as they learn about God’s love and grace through hands-on activities and Bible stories. We meet in Torvend Hall at 9:15 am for an opening time of song, prayer, and offering before going to age/grade level classrooms.

FAITHWEAVER: Preschool – 4^th grade Kid Connection

Faithweaver gets families talking about faith. Age-appropriate lessons make the Bible lessons memorable and reinforce key points of the stories. All ages explore the same Bible Point in separate classes so, families are on common ground when they talk about and live out their faith.

Faithweaver:

• Encourages deep, lasting Bible learning.

GRAPPLE: 5^th–6^th grade Kid Connection

Grapple is tailor-made for today’s 5^th and 6^th graders to help them understand and own their faith. Kids will “grapple” with the issues their age deals with the most, finding answers by digging into the Bible. Fifth and 6^th graders will Grapple with three themes: relationships, faith, and choices. Each week students will explore life-changing Bible lessons through discussion, thought-provoking videos, fun games.

Grapple:

• Captivates attention with real-life issues that prompt preteens to dig into the Bible.
• Inspires preteens to connect with their very own safe and secure online community at MyGrapple.com
• Encourages faith practice.

Preschool Programs
Elementary Programs

Nursery/Toddler Care:

Nursery Care is available for children Newborn through age 4 year-round. Our Nursery staff is professional, friendly, and courteous to those who visit. Feel free to stay as long as you’d like to allow your child to get familiar with the many activities our nursery has to offer. Nursery care is offered during each worship service and is located down the hallway from the Sanctuary.

Preschool Program:

The Preschool class is for children who are 3–4 years old and are fully potty-trained. We meet in preschool room 42. The children have lesson time, free play, circle time and snack. The focus for the Preschool class is to present ways for kids to become familiar with the Bible stories and understand the stories’ basic meaning.

Elementary Programs:

Children in Junior Kindergarten (5 years old by December 1) through 6^th grade will explore a Bible story or theme each week and be challenged to apply the Gospel to their everyday lives. Children will participate in Bible study, crafts, games, drama, cooking, and discussion each week.

Elementary Classes:

Jr. Kindergarten – Kindergarten	Present ways for kids to relate with Bible characters and put themselves in the Bible story.
First – Second Grades	Present ways for kids to comprehend stories, identify with characters, and apply an action they can take in their own lives.
Third – Fourth Grades	Present ways for kids to understand the structure of the Bible, and be able to navigate within the Bible to find stories they know or want to explore.
Fifth – Sixth Grades	Present ways for kids to know the Bible well enough to dig further into the stories, to interpret and determine ways to apply and compare Bible text to their own lives.
