Regular Sunday Services

We love having children in worship! Each service includes a special children's sermon and activities. We also have a professionally staffed nursery for children 4 years and younger.

Traditional Liturgical Worship

Bethel’s traditional worship infuses the best of our heritage as Lutheran Christians with energy and verve. Using a variety of sung liturgies and hymns led by our accomplished organist, Melody Bast, we honor God each week in the classical style that so many have grown to know and love. Regular participation by the adult, bell and children’s choirs make hearts leap while Christ-centered preaching makes the Bible come alive for life in the 21st century. Children’s messages are offered each week after which the children can go to Kid Connection. The sacrament of Holy Communion is offered on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month. during the school year and every Sunday in the summer.

Contemporary Worship

Designed for those who love praising God with a rock and roll beat, Bethel’s spirited contemporary worship provides a great blend of the familiar and the innovative. Each week the worship band will get your heart pounding and feet thumping and the pastors will make the Bible come alive for life in the 21st century. The sacrament of Holy Communion is offered on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month. Musical selections by all of our talented musical groups will enhance the theme each week. With video, drama and other tactile elements, this is much more than a worship service; it’s a worship experience not to be missed.

BLS Chapel Time

Every Wednesday morning during the school year, the children of BLS have a worship time of singing, special messages and skits (presented by the BLS classes). Parents and friends are welcome to come for chapel. (Note: On Nov. 2 ('09) Chapel will be on a Monday with Special Guests, the New Life Band from Tanzania.)

Maundy Thursday is the day on which Jesus celebrated the Passover with his disciples, sharing a meal with them which we call The Last Supper. The word “Maundy“ comes from the Latin for ‘command’. It refers to the command given by Jesus that his disciples should love one another. Sign up on Sundays beginning in March. Space is limited. Childcare will be provided.

Come to Easter Sunrise Service at Memorial Park in Cupertino (across from De Anza College on Stevens Creek Blvd) led by Common Ground, Bethel's Senior High Youth Choir. Then join us back at Bethel for a wonderful breakfast prepared by the Youth.
